Aston Villa out on loan midfielder Philippe Coutinho has insisted that he just wants to enjoy his football at the moment without wanting to think about the future.

Coutinho joined Qatari side Al-Duhail on loan from Aston Villa last year and has scored four goals in ten appearances for them.

His loan stint with the Qatari side will end at the end of June and he is currently scheduled to return to Aston Villa in the summer.

The Brazilian still has two years left on his Villa contract but he is not part of Unai Emery’s plans and the club are keen to offload his wages from their expenses.

Coutinho is calm about his future at the moment and conceded that he does not know what he will do once his loan at Al-Duhail ends.

He stressed that for now, he is trying to live in the moment and enjoy his football in Qatar without stressing over his future.

Asked about his plans once the loan stint ends, Coutinho told Catalan daily Sport: “Don’t know.

“I just want to live in the moment, enjoy my team-mates, my team, help them as much as I can and enjoy my football.”

Aston Villa will be looking to shop him around Europe and the Middle East again when the summer transfer window rolls out.
