Former Germany and Bayern Munich boss Hansi Flick will be in attendance tonight at Hillsborough to watch Sheffield Wednesday take on Plymouth Argyle, according to the BBC.

Danny Rohl’s side are putting on an unexpected fight to survive in the Championship this season.

Wednesday looked down and out in the first half of the season but the German has turned things around at Hillsborough over the last month or so.

They have won their last three league games on the trot and are now just three points off safety in the Championship table.

Rohl’s exploits are now attracting attention and it has been claimed that elite boss Flick will be at Hillsborough tonight to watch his team in action against Plymouth.

The former Germany and Bayern Munich coach is a personal friend of the Sheffield Wednesday manager.

Another win for Rohl’s side could set the cat amongst the pigeons for the teams just above Wednesday in the league table.

Rohl will be looking forward to seeing his side put on an impressive display in front of Flick.

He only took charge of Wednesday in October last year and became the youngest manager in the English Football League at the age of 34.

Flick meanwhile is expected to return to management soon and has been learning Spanish.
