The asking price of Tottenham Hotspur linked Riccardo Calafiori could rise if Bologna qualify for next season’s Champions League.

The 21-year-old centre-back has been in supreme form and has played a vital role in a season where Bologna are currently sitting fourth in Serie A.

His performances in Italy have attracted the interest of a few clubs in Europe and Tottenham are believed to be tracking him.

Calafiori is also wanted at the big wigs of Italy where Juventus are believed to be interested in taking him to Turin.

Bologna want somewhere around €30m for the young centre-back, but according to Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport (via Calciomercato.com), that price could rise.

With the club in a good position to secure Champions League football for next season, Calafiori’s stock could further rise.

If Bologna are in Europe’s elite club competition next season, it could take more than €30m to prize him out of Bologna.

More clubs are expected to join the race for the Bologna defender closer to the next transfer window.

And now they will also keep an eye on how Bologna, who sit fourth, fare between now and the end of the campaign.
