Leeds United star Georginio Rutter has warned his team-mates ahead of the Stoke City game that they have to be more clinical and clever than in their last meeting with the Potters.

Daniel Farke’s side will welcome Steven Schumacher’s relegation struggling Stoke City to Elland Road tonight.

The last time both sides met in October, the Potters came out victorious with a 1-0 scoreline, due to Pascal Struijk’s own goal in the 80th minute of the game.

Rutter reminded that Leeds were wasteful against Stoke City during their meeting and admitted that they failed to perform up to their level in that game.

He stressed that they have to maintain their focus tonight and insisted that Leeds have to be cleverer and more clinical than they were in their earlier meeting with Stoke City.

“We have to be clever – not like the game before”, Rutter told the Daily Mirror.

“The last time we played against Stoke it was a bit difficult because we didn’t play a good game.

“Now we have to be cleverer and more clinical because we had a lot of chances against Stoke but we conceded a goal and lost 1-0.

“You can’t be like this – you have to be focused.

“Sometimes you can have a bit too much confidence, but everyone is ready for it.”

Rutter has been in excellent form this season and Farke will be expecting the Frenchman to be in top form tonight at Elland Road.
