Galatasaray are watching Nicolo Zaniolo’s situation at Aston Villa with great interest, with the Italian on loan from the Turkish side.

Zaniolo was snapped up by the Villans last summer on a loan deal from Galatasaray, with much being expected of him.

The Italian has been more of a bit part player for Unai Emery’s team and is yet to last the full 90 minutes in any of the 18 league matches he has been involved in.

Given the current scenario, Zaniolo is unlikely to hit the targets that were put into his loan deal to turn it into a permanent move.

According to Turkish outlet A Spor, Galatasaray are now keeping a very close eye on Zaniolo’s situation at Aston Villa.

Things as they stand can see the 24-year-old returning to Turkey at the end of the season and they need to start to plan what next season’s squad will look like.

Galatasaray will want to see if Zaniolo’s situation changes at Aston Villa over the coming months.

Zaniolo already has interest from Italy, where clubs do not believe Aston Villa will keep him.
