Bristol Rovers star Luca Hoole has revealed that he is learning from Gas’ right-back Jack Hunt and expressed his desire to follow in the footsteps of the veteran player.

Hunt, 33, was bought in by Bristol Rovers in the summer to add depth in their right-back department.

He had been a regular starter for Bristol Rovers this season but in recent games, Matt Taylor has given young Hoole the opportunity to start the game instead of the veteran defender.

Hoole revealed that the 33-year-old has been great with him since his arrival in the summer and admitted that the former Sheffield Wednesday star is someone from whom he is learning his trade.

The young right-back hailed Hunt for his vast experience and added that he would like to follow in the 33-year-old’s footsteps.

“Hunty is someone I am just trying to learn off”, Hoole told Bristol Rovers’ official media.

“Like I said, he is an older pro, and he is great with me.

“He is just someone I am trying to learn off and he has had a great career.

“I would love to follow in his footsteps.”

Hoole featured in his 16th game of the season against Fleetwood Town on Tuesday and helped Bristol Rovers draw 0-0.
