Burnley have a deal in place to sign PSV Eindhoven right-back Shurandy Sambo on a free transfer in the summer, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The Clarets are favourites to drop back down to the Championship after spending just one season in the Premier League.
However, Burnley are already planning for the future and are looking to have their ducks in a row ahead of the summer window.
The club have been keen to bring in a new right-back in the transfer window regardless of which league they could be in.
And it has been claimed that they have already worked out a deal to sign Sambo on a free transfer ahead of the summer.
The 22-year-old defender will be out of contract with PSV at the end of the season and he has been looking for a new club.
He will be on his way to England in the summer as a deal is in place between the player and Burnley.
The Clarets are trying to make sure that they are in a good place to come up again if they get relegated from the Premier League at the end of the season.
