New Crystal Palace boss OIiver Glasner has told the Eagles he wants more athletic players in his side for next term, according to journalist Alan Nixon.

Glasner took over from veteran tactician Roy Hodgson in February and is running the rule over what he has inherited.

With the summer transfer window approaching, Glasner has made a number of recommendations about players playing in Germany.

Palace scouts have been checking up on Glasner’s targets and are watching Bundesliga games.

The new Eagles boss is clear that he wants to have more athletic players in his side next season.

Glasner wants players who can run harder and longer as he attempts to drive Crystal Palace up the Premier League standings.

The Austrian boss had spells managing Wolfsburg and Eintracht Frankfurt in Germany and is well versed with players in the German top flight.

Crystal Palace could be doing business with Bundesliga sides in the upcoming summer transfer window as they try to shape the squad to Glasner’s liking.
