Feyenoord striker Santiago Gimenez has been approached by clubs ahead of the summer transfer window, amid Arsenal also joining Tottenham Hotspur in the hunt.

Gimenez has been widely tipped for a summer switch away from De Kuip following his impressive performances for Arne Slot’s men.

He helped Feyenoord to win the Eredivisie last term and has struck 21 times in 28 league games this season, further confirming his ruthlessness in front of goal.

Tottenham are keen on the 22-year-old and, according to Italian journalist Rudy Galetti, they have been joined by north London rivals Arsenal.

Clubs have already touched base with Gimenez in advance of a summer move as they look to position themselves in the race.

Feyenoord could soon come under pressure with bids coming in for the Mexican.

An impressive return of 47 goals in just 83 outings has been made by Gimenez since he made the move to the Dutch club.

Gimenez looks unlikely to be able to sign off on his time at Feyenoord with another Dutch title however, with Slot’s men nine points adrift of league leaders PSV Eindhoven with just five games left.
