Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite is not a top target for Manchester United ahead of the summer transfer window.

The 21-year-old centre-back has been a shining light in a disappointing season for Everton but is expected to leave in the summer if the level of bids arriving are right for the Toffees.

Branthwaite is being watched by several clubs ahead of the transfer window and Manchester United are one of them.

The Premier League giants have been keeping tabs on the young defender with a view to potentially signing him in the summer.

However, according to German broadcaster Sky Deutschland, he is not the top target for Manchester United.

The Red Devils are looking to bring in one or two centre-backs when the transfer window opens in the coming months.

Branthwaite is being closely watched but for the moment he is not the priority target for the club.

Everton’s €93m asking price is being deemed too high for Branthwaite at this stage ahead of the summer.

Manchester United are looking at several centre-backs ahead of the next summer transfer window.

It remains to be seen if Everton soften their stance and lower their expectations.
