Burnley will not have to deal with interest from Chelsea in boss Vincent Kompany, with the Blues planning no talks with him, according to the Daily Mirror.

Despite Burnley dropping down to the Championship, Kompany has kept his stock high and could move on from Turf Moor this summer.

Bayern Munich currently have him as one of their names under consideration as they look to appoint a new manager.

Chelsea, who have just sacked Mauricio Pochettino, are also mooted to be admirers of Kompany.

Even so, the Blues are not planning to hold talks with Kompany at the moment.

Chelsea are instead focusing on other options as they look to replace Pochettino.

It has been suggested Pochettino was keen to have a greater say on transfers and it remains to be seen if that could be a sticking point for any manager Chelsea hold talks with.

Pochettino led Chelsea to a superb run of form towards the end of the season that was even enough for the Blues to qualify for Europe.
