Lazio are waiting to see whether they receive offers for Leicester City and Manchester City target Christos Mandas before finalising a new contract for him this summer.

Mandas joined Lazio last summer and while he spent most of the season on the bench, he impressed between the sticks when Ivan Provedel was out injured in the last few months of the season.

He is the lowest-paid player in the Lazio squad at the moment and the club are keen to offer him an improved contract.

However, he is also attracting interest from the Premier League where Leicester and Manchester City are eyeing signing him this summer.

According to Italian daily Corriere dello Sport (via Calciomercato.com), Lazio want to wait and watch before finalising a new contract for the goalkeeper.

They are keen to see whether a club make a move to sign him this summer before agreeing on fresh terms.

Lazio want a fee of €15m if they have to sell the Greek goalkeeper in the upcoming transfer window.

Talks are also ongoing with his agents over a new contract with Lazio willing to offer a deal worth €800,000 per year.

However, Mandas’ representatives are pushing for a salary of around €1m per season from Lazio.
