West Ham United are set to face competitions for the signature of Port Vale talent Baylee Dipepa from Midlands outfits, according to the Evening Standard.

The 17-year-old forward is a product of Port Vale’s academy and made his senior debut for the club this season.

Dipepa featured 22 times for Port Vale and although he failed to help his team stay up in League One, his stock is high.

Premier League outfit West Ham are showing interest in Dipepa, who has a contract with Port Vale until 2026.

However, the Hammers are not the only club interested in capturing the young centre forward’s signature.

It has been claimed that West Ham will have to beat off competition from the Midlands to land the teenager.

Dipepa signed his first professional contract in January and he is currently with the England Under-17 European Championship squad.

The Port Vale talent helped the England Under-17 team secure a victory over France in the European Championship on Tuesday.

And now it remains to be seen whether his performances for England Under-17s will draw further competition for West Ham in the summer.
