Manchester City and Arsenal target Bruno Guimaraes would prefer to continue in the Premier League even if he leaves Newcastle United this summer.

With Newcastle not playing European football next season, the club are facing the prospect of selling a star player to comply with the Premier League’s Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR).

Alexander Isak has been heavily linked with a move away, but the Guimaraes is one name who could depart Newcastle this summer.

Manchester City are interested in taking him to the Etihad and he is also a top target for Arsenal for the next transfer window.

Paris Saint-Germain also have an interest in him, but according to Spanish daily AS, his preference is to stay in the Premier League.

Guimaraes wants to continue to play in the English top flight even if he moves on from Newcastle this summer.

His contract has a €115m release clause, which could be activated until the deadline of 30th June.

Newcastle would prefer to hold on to Guimaraes but are coming under increasing pressure to score a big sale this summer.

And Guimaraes knows he wants to stay in England if he does move.
