Manchester United-linked midfielder Youssouf Fofana is ‘almost guaranteed’ to leave Monaco in the summer transfer window, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The 25-year-old has been impressive at Monaco this season and has attracted interest from several clubs across Europe.

He is on the wish list of a few Italian clubs ahead of the transfer window and he has also been linked with a move to the Premier League.

Manchester United are believed to be considering making a move for Fofana in the coming months.

And it has been claimed that the Frenchman is ‘almost guaranteed’ to leave the Principality club in the upcoming transfer window.

He has a year left on his contract at Monaco and there are no talks at the moment over a new deal.

This summer could be Monaco’s last chance to get a significant fee from Fofana’s departure from the club.

Clubs are expected to make concrete moves for Fofana in the coming weeks as Monaco look to sell him.
