Sunderland are prepared to push hard to hold on to Tottenham Hotspur, Brentford and Crystal Palace midfield target Jobe Bellingham this summer, according to the Guardian.

The 18-year-old attacking midfielder has been heavily linked with a move away from Sunderland ahead of the next transfer window.

He was one of the shining lights in a disappointing Sunderland team last season and he is now wanted at several Premier League clubs.

Tottenham, Brentford and Crystal Palace are interested in signing him with several clubs in Europe also keen on getting their hands on the player.

However, it has been claimed that Sunderland are determined to hold on to the teenage midfielder this summer.

They are hoping to convince Bellingham to stay put at the Stadium of Light next season.

However, with several clubs wanting him, Sunderland are also aware that they could easily lose the youngster this summer.

The Black Cats want in excess of £20m if they are to sell Bellingham in the summer transfer window.
