Lincoln City are now closing in on the capture of Cheltenham Town forward Rob Street, according to journalist Jon Palmer.

The attacker missed most of the end of the League One season for Cheltenham through injury, but Lincoln saw enough in the first half of the campaign and in a previous loan spell at Shrewsbury Town to want him.

Michael Skubala is keen to get the deal done and it has now moved a step closer.

The Imps have seen Cheltenham accept an offer for Street.

It is unclear what level the bid is, but it is high enough to cause Cheltenham to accept it.

Lincoln will now push to try to wrap up the capture by putting Street through a medical and getting personal terms in place.

The Imps will be looking to move quickly to bring the former Crystal Palace youngster into the building.

Skubala saw his side narrowly miss out on finishing in the playoffs in League One last term and he will be keen to take the next step in the new campaign.
