Nottingham Forest have put attractive personal terms in front of Newcastle United midfielder Elliot Anderson as they close in on signing him, according to Sky Sports News.

The Magpies are under pressure to make sales before the end of the day as they battle to remain within the Premier League’s PSR rules.

Winger Yankuba Minteh is set to join Brighton for a fee of £33m and now Anderson is on his way to Nottingham Forest.

Forest put around £35m on the table for the midfielder, who is poised for a medical and set to leave Newcastle even though he did not want to go.

It is suggested that the personal terms on offer for Anderson at the City Ground are attractive.

The midfielder also views Nottingham Forest as an established Premier League side.

Anderson made 21 appearances in the Premier League for Newcastle over the course of last season, having missed a chunk of the campaign with a back injury.

He missed both the Magpies’ league meetings with Nottingham Forest and could now come face to face with his boyhood club in a Forest shirt next season.
