Newcastle United are pushing to sign Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Odysseas Vlachodimos as part of the Elliott Anderson transfer, according to the Daily Mail.

Anderson is set to move to Nottingham Forest with Newcastle pushing to sell him to ease their PSR concerns before the 30th June deadline.

The two clubs have a deal in place for the midfielder to join Nottingham Forest for somewhere around £35m this summer.

Newcastle and Forest have been finalising the terms of a deal, with Anderson expected to complete the move to the City Ground soon.

However, it has been claimed that Newcastle are now trying to get a player from Nottingham Forest as part of a deal.

Newcastle are holding talks with Nottingham Forest to sign goalkeeper Vlachodimos as part of the Anderson deal.

The Magpies are in the market for a goalkeeper who could come in and compete with Nick Pope in the first-team squad next season.
