Leeds United midfielder Jamie Shackleton is joining Sheffield United in what is a relief for Blades boss Chris Wilder, according to journalist Alan Nixon.
Wilder has faced frustration in his efforts to add to his Sheffield United squad due to ongoing takeover talks.
Shackleton is out of contract at Leeds this summer, but has been offered fresh terms by the Whites to continue at Elland Road.
Now Shackleton has agreed to make the move to Bramall Lane and the development is a relief to Wilder.
He is pleased to have been able to snap up the combative midfielder and Shackleton is also delighted to seal a move to a Championship club.
Shackleton struggled for game time under Daniel Farke at Leeds last term.
He made eleven outings in the Championship for the Whites over the course of last term.
A midfielder by trade, Farke often deployed Shackleton as a full-back and Wilder will, if needed, be able to make use of his versatility.
