Fulham are set to beat Crystal Palace to the signature of free agent Ryan Sessegnon this summer, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The 24-year-old left-back has been looking for a new club since being released by Tottenham Hotspur at the end of last season.

He has been training with Crystal Palace during pre-season with the hope of earning a contract offer from the Eagles.

However, even before Crystal Palace could offer him a contract, Sessegnon has finalised a move to their London rivals Fulham.

It has been claimed that an agreement is in place between Sessegnon and Fulham for him to return to Craven Cottage.

Several other Premier League clubs were also interested in him but the defender opted to return to Fulham.

Sessegnon is a product of the Fulham academy and was considered a bright young talent when Spurs signed him from the Cottagers in 2019.

The left-back will now look to rekindle his career in a familiar setting as he closes in on a return to Fulham.
