Tottenham Hotspur are ‘still waiting’ to receive a ‘follow up bid’ for one of their players despite suggestions a deal is close, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.
Spurs have been moving players on aggressively this summer and hugely reducing the wage bill in the process.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Troy Parrott recently left, while Bryan Gil is expected to sign for Spanish La Liga side Girona on loan.
They are also expected to sell Emerson Royal to AC Milan and it has been suggested in Italy that a deal is close.
Despite that talk though, Spurs are still waiting to receive a new bid from AC Milan for the Brazilian.
Royal wants to make the move to the San Siro and talks are continuing, but Tottenham do not have a new offer on the table to think about.
AC Milan have been confident of finalising a deal for around €15m plus bonus payments.
Royal has been a key target for the Italians this summer, though progress on a deal has been slow as they have been unwilling to meet Spurs’ €20m price tag.
