Coventry City linked Brandon Thomas-Asante was at Hull City’s MKM Stadium on Tuesday night amid suggestions he is now heading for Coventry, according to BBC Radio Humberside.

Hull thought they had a deal in place to sign the striker from West Brom this summer earlier this week, based on a fee of under £2m.

There was an expectation that he could be joining the club today but the situation has changed rapidly in the last few hours.

There are claims that the forward has undergone a medical with Coventry and is set to join the Sky Blues instead of Hull.

Thomas-Asante was though at the MKM Stadium last night and the belief was the deal was done.

However, he is claimed to have had a change of mind and he is now on his way to Coventry this summer.

George Boateng, a first-team coach under Mark Robins at Coventry, is said to have convinced the forward to join them.

Hull will be smarting from the scenario of losing one of their top targets to Championship rivals this summer.
