Middlesbrough are in talks to sign Manchester City Under-21s captain Micah Hamilton in the ongoing transfer window, according to The Daily Telegraph.

Michael Carrick is pushing to get Boro back into the promotion race next season after a disappointing 2023/24 campaign in the Championship.

Middlesbrough have signed two players in the shape of Delano Burgzorg and Aidan Morris but the Boro boss is pushing to bring in more new faces.

The Championship club have their eyes on Manchester City’s 20-year-old winger Hamilton in the ongoing transfer window.

It has been claimed that negotiations have begun between the two clubs for the winger’s move.

Boro have been making progress in talks and are pushing to get a deal over the line to sign the youngster.

It is unclear whether Boro are looking to sign him on loan or are eyeing a permanent deal for Hamilton.

The young winger has made three senior appearances for Manchester City and even scored in a Champions League game last season.
