Stoke City still have Ryan Wintle on their radar as a possible signing this summer, according to journalist Darren Witcoop.
The Potters are making big moves in the transfer window and have agreed a fee with Celtic for the signature of defender Bosun Lawal, while they are favourites to loan Lewis Koumas from Liverpool.
Further additions are also expected and Stoke remain keen to bolster the middle of the park.
They have been linked with Cardiff City midfielder Wintle and that interest is something which persists.
Stoke could still look to sign the 27-year-old, who was part of their youth set-up as a boy, this summer.
Wintle spent time at Alsager Town before being snapped up by Crewe Alexandra, where he shone.
Cardiff signed the midfielder in the summer of 2021 and only last year handed him a new three-year contract.
Whether Stoke will soon make a firm move to bring Wintle back to the Potteries remains to be seen.
