Aston Villa have held initial talks over a potential deal to sign Feyenoord defender Lutsharel Geertruida, but are concentrating on selling Fulham target Diego Carlos first, according to Sky Sports News.

Geertruida is on Aston Villa’s radar and the club are weighing up signing the Feyenoord centre-back in the ongoing transfer window.

 

 

However, the Midlands club are focusing on selling Carlos first in the ongoing transfer window.

 

Fulham are interested in the Brazilian and have already failed with an initial bid for the defender.

 

 

Villa are keen to sell the defender first before making a move to land another centre-back.

 

Geertruida is also on Paris Saint-Germain’s radar but the French champions have kept him on standby at this stage of the window.
