Leeds United targeted winger Jonathan Rowe is set to train with Norwich City’s Under-21 side after he pulled out of the squad at the weekend, according to the Pink Un.

The Whites have been chasing the Canaries forward as they are trying to replace the departed Crysencio Summerville’s goals and assists from last season.

French giants Marseille are backing their new boss Roberto De Zerbi heavily this summer and they are giving the Whites strong competition.

Both clubs have sent in offers for Rowe but Norwich City have sent them back as none of them matched their valuation of Rowe.

The 21-year-old withdrew himself from Norwich City’s opening match of the season with Oxford United at the weekend.

Now he is set to train with the Under-21 side for the foreseeable future and he will also be not involved against Stevenage in the EFL Cup on Tuesday.

Leeds United are still in contention to sign the attacker with Marseille are yet to come up with a follow-up bid.

Rowe training with the Under-21s and not being in contention to play in the EFL Cup raises the real possibility he may have played his last game for the club.
