One of Rangers’ out-of-favour stars is keen to now stay at Ibrox despite being told by Philippe Clement that he is not part of his plans, according to Sky Sports News.

Clement is continuing to look to reshape his squad and could lose the services of Todd Cantwell in the coming weeks as he wants to go.

Also wanting to go has been Iannis Hagi, who last played for Rangers over a year ago in the Scottish League Cup and spent last season on loan at Alaves.

Clement made it clear recently that the Romanian will be allowed to leave the club as he is not part of his plans.

He has a year left on his contract at Ibrox but Rangers are reportedly prepared to let him leave on a free transfer if necessary.

However, it has been claimed that the attacking midfielder is not keen to leave Rangers in the ongoing transfer window.

Despite being told by the Rangers boss that he is not part of his plans, Hagi wants to stay at Ibrox.

It has been claimed that more starts this season at Rangers will trigger a wage increase as per a clause in his contract.

Hagi is currently playing for Rangers reserves and scored a hat-trick over the weekend against Derby County.
