Shabab Al-Ahli have found ‘problems’ during Kurt Zouma’s medical and are in touch with West Ham United.

The Hammers want to ship Zouma out this summer and have just brought in Jean-Clair Todibo to replace him.

The club are claimed to be aware of issues with Zouma’s knees and have been willing to let him move to Shabab Al-Ahli essentially without a transfer fee.

Offloading Zouma’s wages are the principle consideration for the Premier League side.

However, according to Sky Deutschland, ‘problems arose’ during Zouma’s medical with the United Arab Emirates side.

The two clubs are now in regular contact as they try to find a solution to allow the deal to proceed.

Zouma is now in the UAE and waiting to see if the deal will go through.

What exact issues have arisen during the medical process are unclear, as is just how at risk the deal is of collapse.
