West Ham United are facing the risk of Kurt Zouma returning to the club from Dubai if the issues surrounding his transfer are not sorted out.
The Frenchman is in Dubai to complete a permanent move to Shabab Al-Ahli from West Ham in the ongoing transfer window.
An agreement over terminating his West Ham contract is in place and the defender has been expected to join the Middle Eastern club.
However, the transfer is on hold as Shabab Al-Ahli spotted issues with the defender’s knee during the medical checks.
The two clubs have continued to be in contact over a transfer but the Dubai outfit will carry out more investigations on the defender’s knee.
According to Italian broadcaster SportItalia, the Frenchman could return to West Ham if the Dubai outfit are not satisfied with further medical investigation.
Shabab Al-Ahli want certainties over the defender’s physical capabilities before signing him.
They could ask him to return to West Ham if they are not happy with what they see in further medical checks.
