Celtic hope to complete a deal to sign Norwich City striker Adam Idah in time for him to be in the squad against Hibernian on Sunday, according to Sky Sports News.

An agreement is in place between the two clubs for Idah’s permanent transfer to Parkhead in the ongoing transfer window.

Celtic have agreed to shell out a fee of £8.5m, plus £1m in add-ons to secure a deal for the striker’s impending arrival.

Talks are ongoing between the forward’s agents and Celtic and Idah is close to agreeing personal terms on a contract.

It has been claimed that Celtic are pushing to complete the signing in time for them to register Idah for the game on Sunday.

Celtic will take on Hibernian in the Scottish League Cup this weekend and Brendan Rodgers wants the striker in the squad for the game.

The Scottish champions will put the striker through a medical as soon as an agreement over a contract is in place.

Idah spent the latter half of last season on loan at Celtic and impressed by scoring nine times in 19 appearances for the club.
