West Ham United boss Julen Lopetegui could not guarantee youngster George Earthy regular game time and now he is set to leave the Hammers on a loan deal, according to ExWHUemployee.

The 19-year-old impressed with his displays for the Hammers’ Under-21 side last season before he was given chance in the first team as well.

Earthy played three Premier League matches last term and even scored a goal against Luton Town.

He also won West Ham’s Mark Noble Young Hammer of the Year award after the Luton Town game.

New West Ham boss Lopetegui rates the 19-year-old highly and Earthy has impressed him with his pre-season displays.

However, now Earthy is set to leave the London Stadium on a season-long loan to Bristol City because the Hammers’ boss could not guarantee him regular game time.

It has been suggested that top Championship sides as well as European sides were interested in loaning Earthy in this summer but the Robins are set to secure him.

West Ham feel the midfielder needs games to progress and he would not get them at the London Stadium.

Earthy will be looking to impress the Hammers with his displays in the Championship this season.
