Giorgi Mamardashvili would double his salary if he joins Liverpool from Valencia in the ongoing summer transfer window, something which makes a loan back to Los Che unlikely.

The Georgian goalkeeper has agreed personal terms with Liverpool and is pushing to move to Anfield before the end of the transfer window.

Liverpool have tabled two offers for the goalkeeper but are yet to get close to matching Valencia’s €40m asking price.

Mamardashvili wants the move given the salary hike he is set to receive if he joins Liverpool this summer.

According to Spanish outlet Relevo, the goalkeeper would double his current wages if he ended up at Anfield.

He is on a deal worth €2m per year at Valencia but Liverpool’s contract offer would take his wages to €4m per season.

Liverpool are also planning to loan him out to another club with Bournemouth expected to be the beneficiary.

A move back to Valencia would be considered unlikely as Los Che would be unable to cover his salary.

The goalkeeper’s agents are working hard to unlock the deal between the two clubs and take him to Merseyside this summer.
