Leeds United target Bashir Humphreys is set to undergo a medical at Burnley ahead of an initial loan exit from Chelsea, according to the BBC.

The 21-year-old defender impressed in the Championship on loan at Swansea City last season and has been wanted amongst a few clubs in the second tier of English football.

Leeds have been interested in getting their hands on the centre-back but a move for him was dependent on a departure from the Whites defence.

Burnley have moved quickly to secure a loan agreement with Chelsea for the centre-back’s signing.

It has been claimed that Humphreys will be put through a medical by the Clarets today ahead of finalising his arrival.

Burnley have also agreed to an obligation-to-buy clause in the loan agreement with Chelsea.

Personal terms are also in place and the defender will sign a five-year deal once he joins Burnley on a permanent deal.

Leeds are now focused on bringing in replacements for Crysencio Summerville and Georginio Rutter ahead of next week’s transfer deadline.
