Stoke City may try to re-sign Burnley defender Luke McNally, according to journalist Alan Nixon.
The Potters are still active heading towards the final stretch of the summer transfer window as they try to back boss Steven Schumacher.
They were handed a 3-0 drubbing by Watford in the Championship at the weekend and are keen on defensive recruits.
Burnley defender McNally spent last season on loan at Stoke and the Potters know what the 24-year-old brings to the table.
It is suggested that Stoke may try to bring the defender back before the window closes.
There is more interest in McNally though and Bristol City are keen on the centre-back.
The Robins recently did business with Burnley to sign Scott Twine and the lines of communication with the Clarets are open.
It is suggested that Burnley would be looking for around £3m in order to let the defender move on this summer.
