Former Rangers winger Ryan Kent could be given a career lifeline by French top flight side Nice.

Kent is on the books at Fenerbahce in Turkey, having joined the Istanbul club when he left Rangers last summer.

The winger has struggled to make an impression at Fenerbahce though and even the arrival of Jose Mourinho as the new boss has not helped him.

Mourinho gave Kent one chance in the Champions League qualifiers earlier this summer, but he has not featured since and the club want to offload him.

Now the ex-Rangers star may have an escape route in France as, according to Turkish outlet Sports Digitale, Nice are showing interest in him.

The Ligue 1 outfit are exploring a deal to take Kent to the south of France before the window closes.

It is unclear whether Nice would like Kent on a permanent deal or to sign him on loan instead.

Kent helped Rangers to win the Scottish Premiership title during his time at Ibrox and was also a key man as they reached the final of the Europa League.
