Mali youth international midfielder Sekou Kone will undergo a medical at Manchester United next week ahead of completing the formalities of the transfer, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Manchester United have a deal in place with Malian outfit Guidars FC for the signature of the 18-year-old midfielder this summer.
Kone has been on the radar of several top clubs in Europe and the Premier League since impressing in the Under-17 World Cup for Mali last year.
Manchester United have agreed to pay an initial fee of £1m plus several add-ons based on his progress in the coming years.
It has been claimed that Kone has been booked for a medical at Manchester United next week.
He will undergo medical checks in the coming days before signing a long-term contract with Manchester United.
The teenager will start in the Under-21 side but there are already plans to give him first-team minutes this season.
