Leeds United are ‘now pushing hard’ to snap up an attacker they are keen to sign before the transfer window slams shut on Friday night.
The Whites have had a difficult summer window with the loss of Crysencio Summerville, Archie Gray, Georginio Rutter and Glen Kamara.
They recently brought in Largie Ramazani from Almeria and are expected to complete the loan capture of Manor Solomon from Tottenham Hotspur.
Now Leeds are focused on landing Freiburg star Roland Sallai and, according to Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri, they are ‘now pushing hard’ to land the 27-year-old.
The Hungary international would like to make the move to Leeds before the window closes.
It is suggested the deal could be worth a fee of €9m, which would see Freiburg double their money on him.
Sallai has been on the books at Freiburg since moving to the German side in 2018 from Cypriot outfit APOEL.
The winger has made over half a century of appearances for Hungary at international level.
