Leicester City have now ‘just sent’ a new bid for a midfielder they are trying to bring in before the transfer window closes at the end of the month.
The Foxes are working hard on several fronts and have just added Jordan Ayew to Steve Cooper’s squad.
Oliver Skipp also arrived earlier this month, to boost Cooper’s midfield options, but he wants another midfielder in the shape of Genk’s Bilal El Khannouss.
Morocco international El Khannouss wants the move to the King Power Stadium, but Leicester have yet to present an acceptable offer and Genk have made a counter proposal.
The Belgians want €20m plus €6m in add-ons, but according to Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri, Leicester have ‘just sent’ a new offer and it is different from those demands.
Leicester are offering €23m as a fixed fee now, with €2m in add-ons.
The agreement also includes a 15 per cent sell-on clause.
Now the Premier League side are waiting to see what Genk’s response to the offer is.
Leicester and El Khannouss will hope the proposal is good enough to get the deal done.
