Brentford have rejected Nottingham Forest’s offer for Yoane Wissa and Wolves are keeping a close eye on the situation as they hold an interest in the attacker, according to Sky Sports News.
Gary O’Neil is looking to add more players to his squad after facing two defeats from Wolves’ opening Premier League matches.
Signing a winger is high on their agenda after Pedro Neto made a big-money switch to Chelsea this month.
O’Neil is a big fan of Brentford’s versatile attacker Wissa and wants to bring him over to Molineux this summer.
The Bees, however, do not want to sell him and they have now rejected a bid worth £15m from fellow Premier League side Nottingham Forest.
Forest want to sign Wissa as they aim to boost their attacking options, but so far they have not been successful.
And Wolves are keeping close tabs on Wissa’s situation.
Wissa has been on Brentford’s books since 2021 and he has become an important part of Thomas Frank’s system, making more than 100 appearances for the Bees.
It remains to be seen if Nottingham Forest will return with an improved proposal and what Wolves might decide to do.
