Celtic’s bid for LAFC attacker Mateusz Bogusz has fallen short of the MLS side’s valuation, though negotiations between the two clubs continue, according to the Daily Record.
Powered by their sale of Matt O’Riley to Brighton, the Bhoys are working on multiple deals simultaneously to better equip their squad before Friday’s deadline.
While negotiations with German club Augsburg continue over midfielder Arne Engels, there are also talks going on regarding former Leeds United man Bogusz.
The Scottish club have already put a bid on the table to sign the attacker before Friday’s deadline.
However, the bid is not one which meets LAFC’s valuation of Bogusz.
The two clubs though continue talking to each other with a view of finding a solution before Friday’s deadline.
A quick decision regarding the future of the former Poland Under-21 international is unlikely to be taken as the MLS club plan to include him in their next match against Seattle Sounders.
Bogusz was on Leeds United’s books from 2019 to 2023 and moved to the United States only last year.
