Premier League giants Chelsea have approached Championship outfit Coventry City for their young midfielder Jack James, according to the Daily Express.

The Blues have been very active in the transfer window like last summer and they are still keen on bringing new faces through the door.

Now they are looking to add future prospects to their academy and they have identified players to bring in.

17-year-old central midfielder James is a player they like and it has been suggested that they have made an approach for him.

The Premier League side have reportedly scouted the teenage midfielder extensively and now they want to add him to their youth set-up.

James is considered a top prospect at the Championship outfit and he is a part of their Under-18 side.

The Blues have produced top-class talents from their youth ranks and James is a player they want to nurture to help him reach his potential.

It remains to be seen if the Championship side will be letting their talented midfielder leave in the coming days.
