Everton are still not warming up to the idea of loaning out Neal Maupay and are still pushing to sell him ahead of Friday’s transfer deadline.
Maupay spent last season on loan at Brentford and is not a major part of Sean Dyche’s plans moving forward.
Everton want to get rid of him before the window closes on Friday night and Marseille are interested in signing him.
However, the French giants are pushing to sign the forward on loan from the Toffees this summer.
According to French sports daily L’Equipe, Everton are still not open to the idea of loaning the forward out again in the next two days.
The 28-year-old striker has a year left on his contract and a loan move now makes no financial sense to Everton.
However, Marseille cannot afford to buy the striker outright at the moment following a summer of considerable spending.
It remains to be seen whether the two clubs manage to work out a compromise for Maupay to join Marseille before the window closes on Friday night.
