Liverpool are trying to convince Juventus to accept a fee lower than their asking price for Federico Chiesa this summer.

Chiesa has emerged as a top target for Liverpool in the dying embers of the ongoing transfer window.

Liverpool are making a concrete effort to sign the winger after making exploratory contacts earlier in the week.

Juventus have been keen to move on the winger and want somewhere around €15m from the sale of the player.

However, according to Italian outlet TuttoJuve, Liverpool are trying to do a deal for a smaller fee than the Serie A giants want.

The Reds are trying to convince Juventus to accept a deal worth €10m and another €2m in add-ons for the sale of Chiesa.

The Merseyside giants have also offered the winger a contract worth €7m to move to Anfield ahead of Friday’s transfer deadline.

Chiesa is super keen to move to Liverpool and are waiting for the two clubs to work out a deal for his transfer to the Premier League.

Juventus have put a €15m asking price on his head.
