A club have now ‘sent an official bid today’ to West Ham United in a bid to land a star the Hammers would be ready to move on.

After a summer of heavy spending, West Ham are looking to get bodies out of the door and salaries off the wage bill.

They still want to sign Carlos Soler from Paris Saint-Germain and offloading players would help fund that move.

Centre-back Nayef Aguerd can go if the deal is right and now, according to French outlet Foot Mercato, Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad have ‘sent an official bid today’ for the player.

They are keen to take the Moroccan to Saudi Arabia, but Aguerd has other interest.

La Liga pair Real Sociedad and Villarreal are also interested, while further European clubs are keen.

The transfer window in Saudi Arabia is open until until 2nd September and that gives Al-Ittihad extra time to get the deal done.

That may not be to West Ham’s benefit as they could want to know that Aguerd is certain to head through the door before committing funds to other deals.

But with the Saudi and Premier League windows not aligned, the Hammers’ hands could be tied.
