Lausanne-Sport sent a counter offer back to Celtic last night for midfielder Alvyn Sanches, but there has been no progress towards a deal, according to the Daily Express.
Celtic are having a busy end to the transfer window as they close in on Augsburg midfielder Arne Engels and Sheffield United defender Auston Trusty.
A move to land LAFC attacking midfielder Mateusz Bogusz has collapsed after Celtic were unwilling to meet the American club’s asking price.
Celtic remain interested in Lausanne-Sport midfielder Sanches, but there are question marks over whether a deal will happen.
The Scottish champions put in a bid of £2.5m for Sanches, but Lausanne-Sport rejected it.
It has emerged that the Swiss side sent a counter offer over to Celtic on Wednesday night, telling the Bhoys what they want.
There has been no progress on the deal over the course of Thursday though.
With Celtic working on other deals, it looks likely they may be willing to leave interest in Sanches until future windows.
