Leeds have been in talks with the second-tier German side over getting a deal done to sign the Japanese.

It has been claimed that the two clubs are now close to working out an agreement for the midfielder’s transfer.

Tanaka is now expected to fly out to England to complete the formalities of the transfer to Leeds.

Leeds are arranging to give a medical to the Japanese midfielder ahead of signing him on a permanent deal.
