Nottingham Forest are pressing forward with their attempts to sign Eintracht Frankfurt striker Omar Marmoush in the dying embers of the summer transfer window.

Forest’s pursuit of strikers has left them frustrated this summer with several key targets declining a move to the City Ground.

The East Midlands club agreed on deals with Arsenal and Feyenoord for Eddie Nketiah and Santiago Gimenez respectively but both rejected them.

It emerged on Wednesday that Nottingham Forest are now holding talks over a potential deal for Eintracht Frankfurt striker Marmoush.

It has been claimed that the club are now pushing hard to land the Egyptian forward ahead of Friday’s transfer deadline.

Marmoush is now the top target for Nottingham Forest as the club look to bring in a striker before the window slams shut.

Forest are now holding advanced negotiations over getting a deal done for a package of £20m.

Marmoush scored 17 times in all competitions last season and is likely would be interested in a move to the Premier League.
