PSV Eindhoven have made it clear to Brighton that they will not be negotiating a sale of Oliver Boscagli ahead of Friday’s transfer deadline.

Brighton are interested in taking the French defender to the Amex Stadium and have tabled a bid of €10m to sign him.

The centre-back recently rejected an offer of a new contract from PSV and is keen to move to the Premier League this summer.

With only a year left on his deal, PSV are facing the threat of losing him on a free transfer next year if he is not sold before Friday or in January.

However, according to Dutch daily the Eindhovens Dagblad, PSV do not want to sell the defender before the end of the window.

They have communicated to Brighton that the club will not be entertaining any negotiations for his departure in the coming hours.

With the Dutch club facing issues in their defence at the start of the season, they have decided against letting the Frenchman go.

For the moment, it seems unlikely that PSV will change their mind about not wanting to sell Boscagli with little less than a day left in the window.
