Everton have made progress in talks to sign Lyon winger Ernest Nuamah, who is also a Fulham target, according to journalist Harry Watkinson.

The 20-year-old winger’s future has been of some intrigue on deadline day due to interest from two Premier League clubs.

It seemed earlier in the day that Everton were out of the picture for him and Fulham had a clear path towards signing the winger from Lyon on deadline day.

However, negotiations between Fulham and Lyon have stalled and Everton are back in the mix for the winger.

It has been claimed that Everton have taken a big step towards agreeing on a deal with Lyon for the signature of Nuamah.

The Merseyside club have reached a breakthrough in negotiations with Fulham for the player’s proposed arrival at Goodison Park.

The talks are still ongoing but Everton are now pushing to secure a deal for Nuamah’s signature.

They are racing against time to finalise the terms and complete all the formalities of the deal but Toffees are trying to sign the winger in the coming hours.
